Description Listen to the Music!

A getaway to 20 luxurious lodges in America’s wilderness! Home cooks will love these full-flavored recipes created by lodge chefs. The cookbook includes sensational food photos, a description of each lodge, masterpiece paintings, and quotes by Thoreau, John Muir, Teddy Roosevelt, and more.

On the companion music CD, instrumentalists of the Big Sky Ensemble blend bluegrass, country, western swing, slack key, and jazz. Inspired by traditional American songs, their music is a cross-country journey to enjoy while cooking, dining, and relaxing at home.

Outstanding, well laid out book full of interesting history of the different lodges across the USA.  Also the menus and recipes sound good.

This was a gift so I cannot rate it unless I get feedback from the recipient.

CD January 3, 2018

The book is filled with great recipes. The only issue I had was that it comes with a CD of music. With streaming music these days owing a CD player has become pretty much obsolete, at least in my house. Will have to figure out a way to listen to the CD without having to urchase a player.
